R v DEAN BELL

BRIEF ON BEHALF OF THE DEFENDANT

• Counsel has herewith the committal bundle of statements and the previous convictions of the defendant. There are also statements from the Defendant and his ex-boyfriend Harry Pegg.
• This case was sent to the Crown Court on 12" December (y-1). Not guilty pleas were entered at the PTPH on the 14th January (y-0)
• An application to admit the previous convictions of the Defendant was allowed on 15th January (y-0) by HHJ Watt on the basis that the convictions demonstrated a propensity for violence.
• The Defendant is on unconditional bail. Counsel is requested to appear on behalf of the defendant and secure his acquittal.
