STATEMENT OF HARRY PEGG

HARRY PEGG WILL SAY AS FOLLOWS
- I have been asked to make a statement about my relationships with GRACE PEGG and DEAN BELL.
- I can confirm that I was in a relationship with Grace Pegg which ended when I fell in love with Dean. Grace was very unhappy about the whole thing and made it clear that she would get me and Dean back for our betrayal.
- On a day, I can’t remember precisely when, I did go back to live with Grace and Dean and I had split up and I was confused. She told me that I had to take an HIV test before she’d have me back and I agreed. It was negative, of course.
- We fell out soon after and I left again. Sometime in September Y-1, I think, I saw her in the pub. She was with friends. She told me that I was disgusting and that Dean was a coke head and a slag. She told me that she hoped we both died of AIDS.
- I left soon after. In October Y-1 I bumped into Dean in Westfield. I told him about the episode involving Grace in the pub. He was very chilled about it and said that he would go and have a chat with Grace. He specifically said that he only wanted a chat.
- We said goodbye to each other and were on good terms when we left. I cannot believe that he would attack Grace. He is a gentle soul and a good friend. Grace, on the other hand, bears grudges and can be very temperamental
