IN THE CROWN COURT AT TEMPLETOWN

R v ROBERT PRICE

INSTRUCTIONS ON BEHALF OF THE DEFENDANT

  • The Defendant has instructed us that he intends to plead guilty at the next hearing.
  • On the basis of his instructions we have asked for a Pre-Sentence Report. One will be ready for the court on the next occasion.
  • The defendant is a man of 36 years of age. He has one caution for shoplifting in (y-7). Neither the police nor the Probation Officer seem to be aware of this fact.
  • A short proof of evidence is enclosed as is a brief reference from his employer.
  • We have told the client that the Court will consider the Sentencing Counsel guidelines for this offence, and to assist counsel, we have attached a link to the applicable guideline [HERE]
  • Mr Price has been warned that the likely outcome is a sentence of imprisonment. Counsel is requested to do everything he can in what are difficult circumstances.
